Rick Atchley Musical Mocking Jesus to the Cross

Rick Atchley Musically Mockes Jesus to the Cross because he claims to know what Jesus was thinking: because it intends to MOCK people who resist his effort to "ifiltrate and confiscate" churches God does not let him know that the MOCKING of Jesus was MUSIC intending to so discord Him that He was dumb just like the lambs his Levite helped slaughter without God's approval.

Restoration Forum, 2002

In October, 2002, Rick  Atchley spoke at Restoration Forum XX in Lubbock, Texas, an outgrowth of the original Joplin Unity Summit of 1984.  Among other things he said:

Rick Atchley: What are you going to wind up with if you follow Jesus? You are going to wind up with a cross on your back, aren’t you? Let me just imagine—I don’t think anybody with a cross on their back, about to die, fussed about a piano (much laughter). Did they? That’s not what you talk about when you are on your way to be crucified. When you and I die to self, we can be of the same mind, even when we are not of the same opinion. I think it is a crucial matter we need to get across. Be of the same mind with one another.

MUSIC DERIVED FROM MYSTERY MEANS TO MAKE THE LAMBS DUMB BEFORE THE SLAUGHTER.

Matthew 27:29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head,
and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him,
and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
Matthew 27:28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
Matthew 27:31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him,
and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

WHAT WAS COMMANDED ABSOLUTELY

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning,
that we through patience and comfort of the SCRIPTURES might have hope.
Romans 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you
to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Romans 15:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, [Theos]
even the Father of our Lord [Kurios] Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

Acts 8:34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee,
of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture,
        and preached unto him Jesus.

A CHURCH OF CHRIST IS A SCHOOL OF CHRIST: IT IS DEFINED INCLUSIVELY AND EXCLUSIVELY IN THE PROPHETS.

Rich Atchley: I figure I’ve got about twenty, twenty-five years of   preaching left. I’m not going to spend them pushing brothers and sisters away. And in my lifetime, brothers and sisters, the walls between our heritage can come down.

There is no ROLE and no DOLE for "preaching" in Rick's patternism which uses the Text only to subvert it: the command is to PREACH the Word by READING the Word. The command to the elders as Pastor-Teachers was to "teach that which has been taught." Rick Atchley is ANTI-LOGOS or the Regulative Principle and since Jesus was God's LOGOS personified that makes Rick ANTI-CHRIST.

Rick Atchley has worked actively and been used by the NACC or the Instrumental group.  There was never any UNION between the Disciples and Churches of Christ: they are built upon different views of authority.  He wants to break down the WALL in HIS church by DRIVING OUT THE OWNERS who will not accept the utterly false and blasphemous teaching that "God commanded Him to impose instruments."

At one time many of the frontier groups had no trouble assemblying together although they were not UNITED into a denomination: it was the Instrumental groups which proved, like Rick Atchley, that they INTENDED not to work for UNITY but to infiltrate and confiscate the property of others so that HE can exercise HIS WILL since the rest of us cannot understand BLACK words on BROWN paper.  Cowardly yielding to what God has always condemned as resourced by SATAN, has spread massive discord of Biblical proportiongs.

Therefore, to inform those who musically mock Jesus even today, we know that the Spirit OF Christ laid out the details of all who MOCK the Written Word of the Living Word.

Where then are those who dare to mutilate themselves; seeing that they draw down the Apostolic curse, and accuse the workmanship of God, and take part with the Manichees? ... But if you will not allow this, why do you not mutilate the tongue for blasphemy, the hands for rapine, the feet for their evil courses, in short, the whole body? For the ear enchanted by the sound of a flute hath often enervated the soul;  and the perception of a sweet perfume by the nostrils hath bewitched the mind, and made it frantic for pleasure .

Thither behoves us lead the dance in quick-step hasty strain."

TO PROVE THE POINT RICK ATCHLEY SAID

Atchley assured his audience that in this postmodern world people don’t get truth propositionally but through experience.

Then how does Rick Atchley get TRUTH and how does he decide which experience or performance COMMUNICATES "that which is written for our learning.

The Imagination of the human heart is only evil continually.

God created all things by His WORD or LOGOS: The Logos is GOD'S Regulative principle.  God breathed (spirit not a person) HIS WORD into Jesus of Nazareth so that He became the LIVING LOGOS.

The Regulative pattern is defined by Jesus

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them
in the name [singular] of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The Spirit OF Christ defined Rick Atchley in Isaiah where He defines HIS future REST both inclusively and exclusively.
Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony:
if they speak not according to this word,
it is because there is no light in them.

The Spirit OF Christ defined Tyre as "Lucifer the singing and harp-playing prostitute in the garden of Eden." Rick Atchley will not quote that passage because by claiming to be guided by A spirit he has psychological power over the weak willed.
