Maury Hills Church: Freedom From the Past (Gal. 1:11-24) 

Russ Adcox who defines THE GOSPEL as the Death, Burial and Resurection: nothing more, nothing less. We were just brainwashed to believe that the gospel is more than a few facts ABOUT Jesus and what HE did for us. And brainwashed so that WE are under a bondage TO OBEY.  We confuse gospel and not gospel.
Was there a Pauline Dispensation?

"One Gospel was ministered by Christ on earth, during His pre-Cross humiliation, and was exclusively addressed to Israel regarding her Millennial Kingdom. 

        The other—altogether “new creation” other—was ministered to Paul by the glorified Lord Jesus Christ; after Calvary, from heaven, exclusively to and for His chosen heavenly Body. 

John the Baptist’s, Jesus’, and the Apostles’ Gospel concerned the Messiah and His Kingdom-specifically and repeatedly referred to as “the Gospel of the Kingdom” (Matt. 4:23; 9:35; 24:14; Mark 1:14; Luke 9:2, 6). 

The other, “the Gospel of the Grace of God, “was neither preached nor mentioned until Paul went forth to declare it (Acts 20:24; Rom. 3:21–28; Eph. 3:1–3).

However, Paul also preached the gospel of the kingdom.

Rom. 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
1Cor. 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
1Cor. 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1Cor. 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1Cor. 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Cor. 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Jesus commanded baptism as pure grace: they could have their sins removed by obedience.

Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

"Heavenly Gospel -- The Gospel for the Church, the Gospel of the Grace of God, Paul’s Gospel, is not mentioned in the Scriptures until 1 Corinthians 15:3–5. “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received [from Christ in glory], that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures; and that He was seen…”

“But I make known to you, brethren, that the Gospel which was preached by me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ” (Gal. 1:11, 12). “For I [the glorified Lord] have appeared unto thee [Saul] for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in which I will appear unto thee” (Acts 26:16).

“All the Apostles (except Paul) accompanied the Lord and followed Him to the cloud (Acts 1:9). Paul sees Him the other side of the cloud, and it is this which characterizes his entire ministry.”

Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 

"The glorified Lord directly communicated to Paul not only the great fundamentals of the heavenly Church Gospel, but totally new revelation concerning His Body—truths that He never shared with the nation Israel. These truths concerned our identification with Christ crucified, buried, resurrected and ascended; our heavenly position; our co-heirship and co-reign with our Beloved Bridegroom, and much more.

This means in another version that people are baptized with the Holy Spirit and therefore one does not need to be baptized in water.

D. One Baptism.
Members of the Body of Christ are baptized by the Holy Spirit through regeneration into the Body of Christ, giving them a new will to confess Christ as their Head and His resurrection in accordance with the One Faith; and each member of the Body has this, and only this, baptism unto conversion and salvation. No member of the Body is to have other baptisms, and there is not one baptism for one member and a second baptism for another member; so that there is precisely this one baptism, and only this baptism, for all members of the Body of Christ. Hence there is to be no water baptism, no charismatic baptism, no ritual baptism of any kind.

Believing in Jesus Christ and believing that you are a sinner is NOT good news.  The Good News is that by repenting and being baptized you can be free from the past.  At baptism we get A holy spirit or A good conscience or consciousness.  That "washes away thy sins" so that the PAST is washed away and you can read the BLACK text on BROWN paper.

Why would you PAY people to SAVE you from this fate ONLY available to people who obey by being baptized?

Why would it be such a cursed burden to want to have our sins washed away so that we have A holy spirit or A good conscience which means that WE and understand the BLACK TEXT on BROWN paper.  Thank you very much but we OF TRUTH or OF FAITH just jump for joy at the chance to escape this evil world and be added to a spiritual kingdom.

It is a proven medical fact that roudy rhetoric and any kind of music shuts down the rational mind so that you believe whatever you hear if it is precented by a sophists or by a singer or musician.  Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites by pointint to speakers, singers and instrument players.

Here is THE gospel which frees us from the laded burdens (arousal songs) and burden laders.

Matt. 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matt. 11:29 Take my yoke upon you,
        and learn of me
; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
        and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matt. 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
 

This defines THE CHURCH and rowdy rhetoric is NOT close to preaching the word by READING the Word.
I wouldn't trust anyone wanting to SAVE you from being added to a spiritual kingdom where the gospel also means
Paul is not defining this as THE GOSPEL (good news) but the first in order of TIME which Paul received.

1Cor. 15:3 For I delivered unto you
        first of all that which I also received,  [first of all that I RECEIVED means "first of all that I received."]
        how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Cor. 15:4 And that he was buried,
        and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1Cor. 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
1Cor. 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once;
        of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

HERE IS A COUPLE OF THINGS INCLUDED IN THE GOSPEL WHICH WE RECEIVE.

No one ever preached the gospel of the gospel in this limited sense: They all preached the gospel of the KINGDOM which is the Church of Christ.  So, those who were SAVED after being baptized were added to the church and their spirits were translated into a heavenly kingdom:
Matt. 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say,
       
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matt. 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee,
        teaching in their synagogues, [no preaching allowed]
        and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
        and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
1Tim. 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
To equate obeying the commands of Jesus Christ to keeping the Law is pretty bad.
1Tim. 1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be
    
    any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
1Tim. 1:11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God,
        which was committed to my trust.

Rom. 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men
        by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Rom. 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you
        according to my gospel, and
        the preaching of Jesus Christ,
        according to the revelation of the mystery,
        which was kept secret since the world began,

Rom. 16:26 But now is made manifest,
        and by the scriptures of the prophets,
        according  to the commandment of the everlasting God, 
        made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

THE GOSPEL is fully preached by Christ in the prophets: only the PROPHETS and APOSTLES can be used for our faith and obedience.  Those who impose music to sow discord use the curse of the sacrificial system as their authority which YOU must obey or YOU must find another church.
I think that Paul received instructions for the KINGDOM or Church of Christ.  I suspect that Paul received DOCTRINE when he learned about the gospel.

DIALOG ON A FORUM

Poster: I certainly believe that there are enough examples of believers being baptized in water to eliminate any question over the type of baptism that was instructed. Paul was told to "arise and be baptized and wash away your sins." The eunuch, after hearing the teachings of Christ, said "Look, here is water, what hinders me from being baptized." I think that to try to stretch scripture to have baptism being a mental act does a disservice to scripture.

Calvinist Baptist:
Your interpretation would come as a surprise to Paul. He wrote to the Galatians:

And the Calvinist quoted the PROOF that Paul was not connected to the olden apostles and their obedience of Jesus to make disciples by baptizing AND teaching what Jesus taught them to teach: no further expounding because that, says Peter is the mark of a false teacher.  One is made a disciple only by baptism and entrance into a school of Christ.  Only those disciples are called CHRISTIANS.  If you fight against baptism you are trying to keep people from becoming Christians.

Gal. 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Gal. 1:12 For I neither received it of man,
        neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Todd must have read the same material: somehow because Jesus personally appeared to Paul later than His personal appearance and mouth to mouth revelation to the Apostles who apparently were not trusted.  

Not withstanding that in Galatians 2 (just after 1) Paul proves that he went to Jerusalem to compare notes and the gospels were the same.  In Galatians 2 by Russ Adcox, we will show that
  1.         the same gospel to Jew and Gentile was prophesied by Christ in Spirit,
  2.         was commanded in the Great Commission
  3.         and was confirmed at the "Jerusalem" where James proves that Peter had said
  4.         that both Jew and Gentile were to receive the same gospel.
Todd Loyd said that Paul didn't receive his message from the Jews:  The "law didn't get it" and not even the apostles "got it."  

Of course not: the apostles got if from seeing and hearing Jesus Christ.  Paul received it by seeing and hearing Christ the Spirit.  Could you really believe that Jesus the Christ of God, the Visible and Audibe Word of God would give the first apostles ONE gospel and then give Pau another one rejecting all obedience and teaching faith only? Can you believe that people have such a view of God?

Todd is speaking is dogma: the gospel to the Jews through the olden apostles demanded baptism or obedience.  
In Believer's Baptism one is saved by pure grace through faith the instant they BELIEVE. (something)  However, they cannot be baptized until the group certifies that they are good enough. Then, Jesus must come and die for them (as he appeared to Paul) or you must become Christ yourself and die for your OWN sins.  Now, THAT is part of the paganism they probably believed. Apollo (Abaddon, Apollyon) as the Washer used his Muses to get you aroused to come form of ecstasy or out of your mind experience.  In 1 Cornithians Paul identified it as MADNESS.  Then because Apollo had WASHED you by this madness you were ready to be washed in WATER.
Now, Paul's gospel demands baptism over and over and never says that Abraham was SAVED by just faith only.

RUSS PLANNED TO OMIT ABRAHAM AND THE ONE AND ONLY COVENANT OF GRACE.

Abraham, like all Gentiles, was justified by faith WHEN he obeyed God which is the meaning of trust.

Rom. 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief;
        but was strong in faith,
        giving glory to God;
Rom. 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Persuaded: G4135 plērophoreō play-rof-or-eh'-o From G4134 and G5409 ; to carry out fully (in evidence), that is, completely assure (or convince), entirely accomplish:—most surely believe, fully know (persuade), make full proof of.Rom. 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Because the Covenant made with Abraham--the one Russ intended to miss--was made by Christ in Spirit, and because Christ prophesied baptism as the way He would cleanse from sins, Jesus had to be the first born:

There are several examples of being RIGHTEOUS by OBEYING the command.  As the Spirit of Christ baptism for the remission of sins was prophesied. Therefore, Jesus had to be BAPTIZED to fulfill all righteousness.
Matt. 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
Matt. 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
Matt. 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now:
        for thus it
becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
Now, look at some of Paul's history which he does often repeat.

The reason Paul did not go up to consult at Jerusalem was that he was on his way to Damascus to persecute believers:
Acts 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way:
        for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name
        before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
Acts 9:16 For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house;
        and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord,
        even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest,
                A. hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight,
                B. and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Baptism is the ONLY way to request that we BE SAVED AT BAPTISM because it is the Christ-ordained way of REQUESTING A good conscience which is A holy spirit.

Acts 9:19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened.
        Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
Acts 9:20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
Paul's mission included the Jews.  He therefore preached in the synagogues. Therefore, he did not preach a "Pauline" gospel.

Paul remained in Damascus where his mission was to the Gentiles and then kings and the children of israel. You remember that the Jews were so hostile that the disciples let him down by the wall in basket. THEN he went to Jerusalem and intended to join with the cisciples.  The brethren protected him by sending him to Tarsus.
The SPIRIT Lord whose name is Jesus appeared to Paul to reveal the message in a face-to face way: no other person has a right to private interpret or further expound that truth.
Acts 22:14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee,
        that thou shouldest know his will,
        and see that Just One,
        and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
Acts 22:15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men
        of what thou hast seen and heard.
Even though personally chosen to be an Apostle or evangelist (never located) Paul had to be sanctified to become a servant of God:
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou?
        arise, and be baptized,
        and wash away thy sins,
        calling on the name of the Lord

Calvin had LOTS of things to say about baptism and he says one thing when tackling baptismal regeneration and quite another when speaking of what adults MUST do. Institutes Book 4.15.1

I answer, we are said to receive, procure, and obtain, whatever according to the perception of our faith is exhibited to us by the Lord, whether he then attests it for the first time, or gives additional confirmation to what he had previously attested.

All then that Ananias meant to say was, Be baptised, Paul, that you may be assured that your sins are forgiven you. In baptism, the Lord promises forgiveness of sins: receive it, and be secure.

I have no intention however, to detract from the power of baptism.

I would only add to the sign the substance and reality, inasmuch as God works by external means. But from this sacrament, as from all others, we gain nothing, unless in so far as we receive in faith.

If faith is wanting, it will be an evidence of our ingratitude by which we are proved guilty before God, for not believing the promise there given.

That DOES NOT mean that baptism is just an ASSURANCE of forgiveness of sins.

In so far as it is a sign of our confession,

we ought thereby to testify that we confide in the mercy of God, and are pure, through the forgiveness of sins which Christ Jesus has procured for us;

that we have entered into the Church of God, that with one consent of faith and love we may live in concord with all believers.

This last was Paul's meaning, when he said that "by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body," (1 Cor. 12: 13.)

You cannot be a disciple or Christian or able to know the will of Christ or speak it until you have had your sins washed away.  Paul in 2 Corinthians 3 says that you cannot read BLACK text on BROWN paper until you have converted to Christ which has the same meaning as baptism.

How, can you trust anyone who denies you the right that Jesus in Spirit extended to Paul.

Anyone who does NOT teach that gospel truth will be DEDICATED for the burning.
Acts 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth,
        I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue,
        Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Acts 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

Acts 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet:
        for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose,
        to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things w

Acts 26:19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
Paul was not DISOBEDIENT.  How is it that we are not permitted to obey as commanded for all who want to be saved?
JESUS CONNECTED CONVERSION AND BORN OF WATER: Luke recorded both baptism FOR the remission of sins and conversion THAT your sins be blotted out.

No one can find sins being remitted by FAITH ONLY.  Only after obedience are sins remitted.


Todd Loyd:  asks,
"Why tell it again?"  The Galatians were pagans before they became Christians.  

2.  The people worshipped stocks, stones, EARNED the favor of pagan gods. Always asking what can I do to EARN? The gods enjoy me jumping up and down, so I jump and bring about favors.

The folly is that when Jesus makes a promise based on obedience, these people don't know a single person who thinks that by being baptized they can EARN something.  On the contrary, the pagan gods loved singers, instrument players, clappers, dancera which was all a sexual effort to appease the  "gods."

THEY WERE JUST OUT OF PAGANISM: HERE IS ANCIENT AND MODERN PAGANISM


One of the oldest superstitions was the belief that singing and playing instruments or beating on drums could seduce or appease the "gods" into giving more fertility.  Jesus consigned the pipers, singers and dancers to the marketplace or Agora.  The marketplace was always separated from the ekklesia which was a word-only assembly like the synagogue with NO right to compose material for discussion.

See how the converts would REvert to paganism and be MARKED by the sights and sounds of singing and playing instruments.

When you preach another gospel which IS not a gospel because it is BAD news, God DEDICATES you to ANATHEMA.  He sets you aside for burning times. While you wait, the MARK warning you to flee Babylon is the sights and sounds of the speakers, singers and instruments Paul called sorcerers. (Rev 18)

Well, we certainly heard some paganism in this sermon: the church as ekklesia or synagogue is dedicated to the WORD ONLY and Peter outlaws private interpretation of further expounding.

Teras a sign or wonder. If not true they are called LYING WONDERS which identifies all of the hypocritic or performing arts. As Thaumastos it can include strange or absurd speaking forms, to be worshipped. Musical Worship Teams CLAIM that they can lead you into the presence of God: therefore, they are a lying wonder standing in the holy place.

The second major use of the word PSALLO is the polluted, red rope they used to drive those who dallied around the speakers and singers up to the ekklesia on the Pnx. When arrived with this MARK they were fined and not permitted to participate in Jesus example for the Church.

Still it is the day of assembly [ekklesia]; all should be here at daybreak, and yet the Pnyx is still deserted. They are gossiping in the marketplace, slipping hither and thither to avoid the vermilioned rope. The Prytanes even do not come; they will be late, but when they come they will push and fight each other for a seat in the front row. They will never trouble themselves with the question of peace.
Second major use of PSALLO: Several means were used to force citizens to attend the assemblies; the shops were closed; circulation was only permitted in those streets which led to the Pnyx; finally, a rope covered with vermilion was drawn round those who dallied in the Agora (the market-place), and the late-comers, ear- marked by the imprint of the rope, were fined.
However, in the Agora where Jesus consigned the pipers, singers and dancers:

PAUL REHEARSED HIS CONVERSION.

Gal. 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion,
        how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
Gal. 1:14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation,
        being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
Gal. 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,


Gal. 1:16 To reveal his Son in me,
        that I might preach him among the heathen;
        immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

This is supposed to say that Paul's gospel was not the gospel of the other apostles.  This seems to be away to escape baptism but Paul makes it clear that is not the truth.

A. Simeon hath declared how God at the first
......... did visit the Gentiles,
......... to take out of them a people for his name. Acts 15:14

B. And to this agree the words of the PROPHETS as it is written, Acts 15:15

Baptists are forced to deny that to defend a baptism gospel for Jews and a faith only gospel for the Gentiles. They also deny that Jesus died on the cross for THEIR sins: He must come and do that again in "believer's baptism" or the person must BECOME Jesus Christ and die for their own sins.

The Tabernacle of David was a WITNESS with NO music originally.
1. God promised David a Tabernacle
2. But, Solomon built God a HOUSE
3. But, God does not dwell in houses built by human hands NOR by the works of human hands: "raising, clapping, waving, plucking or twanging. That is why the assembly is "synagogue" or school of the Bible and NOT a pagan worship center.

Showing that there was no difference:

It is clear from the table above that turning or being converted has the same meaning as baptism.  Therefore, we have James connecting the remnant of the Jews and the Gentiles under the SAME GOSPEL.

"Calling on the Name of the Lord" means to DO THY WILL.  Being CONVERTED means that you RETURN and obey all that God has commanded you.

Deut XXX WEB. It shall happen, when all these things are come on you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations, where Yahweh your God has driven you,

[2]  and shall RETURN to Yahweh your God, and shall OBEY his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul;

[3]  that then Yahweh your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples, where Yahweh your God has scattered you.
The rising up to PLAY in musical idolatry is referenced by Paul in Romans 10 and in 1 Corinthians 10. The rising up to play was DEMON WORSHIP.
Deut. 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day,
        it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
Deut. 30:12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Deut. 30:13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say,
        Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us,
        that we may hear it, and do it?
Deut. 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
This connects "musical worship" with trying to lift people in the presence of God.
But, Wait!  Paul continued his work for only three years before he made connections with Peter in Jerusalem--one of the olden apostles.  It would have been dangerous to go up immediately.

Paul was on his way to Damascus and not to Jerusalem.  Do you suppose that Paul was denying the gospel to the Jews only?

Gal. 1:18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter,
        and abode with him fifteen days.
Gal. 1:19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.
Gal. 1:20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
Gal. 1:21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
Gal. 1:22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
Gal. 1:23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past
        now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
        And they praised.
Gal. 1:24 And they
glorified God in me.

Again,

  1. Paul was a Jew who attended synagogue and would be Old Testament literate.  
  2. He had studied with the best scholars.  
  3. He would know the prophecies concerning the Messiah.
  4. He had persecuted THE FAITH so we can assume that he understood THE FAITH he was persecuting.  
  5. Now, he is preaching the SAME FAITH which he once destroyed.
  6. Paul does not call it THE gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ: he calls it THE FAITH.
But, in the very next chapter, we have Paul comparing notes with the Apostles again.
Gal. 2:1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
Gal. 2:2 And I went up by revelation,
       and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles,
       but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run,
       or had run, in vain.

Gal. 2:3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
Gal. 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in,
        who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus,
        that they might bring us into bondage:
Gal. 2:5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
So, we assume that the truth of the gospel excludes physical circumcision.

So, again, we have the OLDEN apostles "who didn't get it" comparing notes with Paul about the GOSPEL.  They both taught that spiritual circumcision was done at baptism.

4.  Ought to be circumcised, gotta do  think they can DO SOMETHING.  

However, it is false to say that not having to DO SOMETHING IN OBEDIENCE such as to be circumscised does not mean that we have nothing to DO to be saved.  If you will look at the table above, this same PAUL who lets us do nothing declares that only after we have obeyed in baptism are we THEN FREE FROM SIN.

Well, Paul had the same way to be circumcised as the other apostles who apparently didn't get it.
Col. 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Col. 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Col. 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands,
        in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

HOW AND WHEN DOES CHRIST CUT OFF THE OLD MAN OF SIN.

Col. 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through
        the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Col. 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins
        and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him,
        having forgiven you all trespasses;
Col. 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Col. 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
For the Jews who trusted circumcision Paul would teach them that the ONLY way to CUT OFF sin would to be baptizes. Notice that the Grace through Faith includes the act of baptism as the WAY God saves by faith.
   
Paul says the same thing in Romans. So, even if the olden Apostles were screwed up by demanding baptism, we have Paul teaching the same Jesus commanded way for Jews and "the nations."

Jesus died on the cross for out salvation.  Some can't accept it for free.   .NO, you are forgiven.
Don't think we have to do something to be forgiven.

No one denies that salvation if free! No one thinks that obeying a promise is PAYING for their salvation. Isn't that a falsehood?  Jesus said the way to accept it is if you believe AND are baptized you SHALL BE saved. To deny that is to stand before the gate like the Jews PREVENTING people from going in.

There are two gospels for sure: The Death Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ is called the PROTOS or PROTOTYPE gospel.  Jesus died to free us from the Law of Moses or the Pagan religions.  The POWER to get that done is in the gospel.  If we just tell people that Jesus died, was buried and was resurrected the response will probably: So what? What does that mean to me.

For us we "obey Mark defined the beginning or ARCHE GOSPEL which means "the most important thing" about the gospel for we who cannot die for out own sins.  He then launches into the prophecies about John the forerunner who would come preaching baptism for the remission of sins.

By disabling the powers of religionism (all) the invitation gospel is to "come, rest and learn of me." Those terms absolutely define away any kind of speaking, singing or playing which "creates spiritual anxiety through religious rituals." The Command for the synagogue was to PREACH the word by READING the Word. The command to Timothy followed the pattern of th esynagogue to explain any doctrinal content (part of the gospel) and to encourage people through the Scriptures.
Rom. 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ,
            called
to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

Rom. 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 
Rom. 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship
                for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Rom. 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
        Christ died for us.

The death of Christ is never said to make us free of sin.

Rom. 5:9 Much more then,
        being now justified by his blood,
        we shall be saved from wrath through him.
G1344 dikaioō dik-ah-yo'-o From G1342 ; to render (that is, show or regard as) just or innocent:—free, justify (-ier), be righteous.
We are declared NOT ceremonially unclean like a Gentile or a pig. However, justification gives us the RIGHT to plead by requesting A holy spirit or A good conscience. The fact that Jesus died on the cross did NOT save you until you follow His teachings.
Rom. 5:10 For if, when we were enemies,
        we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
        much more, being reconciled,
        we shall be saved by his life.
The SHALL BE saved by His life begins only after we have requested to become a disciple by being baptized.  That does not give us a punched ticked on a Joy Bus to heaven: it makes us DISCIPLES. A disciple goes to SCHOOL and not a neo-pagan worship center.  The object is to TEACH the Bible so that we go home having a portion of Scripture (only) explained and memorized so we can "speak to ourselves" all week.

THOSE WHO THINK THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO OBEY THE LAWS OF CHRIST ARE SELF-WILLED AND CALLED LAWLESS.
